Route 27 of 29 from left to right on North Face, with Only the Good Die Young on its left and Open-and-Shut on its right. North Face has 29 routes, from 5.8 to 5.12a/b; 17 are harder, and 1 other is the same grade.
First ascent: Joe Herbst, Stephanie Petrilak - May, 1978
Description
Closed on Monday is a nice climb up cracks & changing corners. Starts 15-20' left of a pretty, varnished, left-facing corner. Short but sweet! This route could really use a proper bolted anchor to spare the current tree anchor.
Location
A short scramble up the gully from Only the Good Die Young. Begin just left of a pretty, varnished, left-facing corner.
Protection
1x small to #3 Camalot. Optional extra 0.3-sized cams.
Access
The 13-mile Scenic Drive requires a timed-entry reservation October to May and has seasonal gate hours. Calico Basin and Kraft Mountain sit outside the Scenic Drive and need no reservation.
Wet rock: Aztec sandstone loses much of its strength when wet. Do not climb for at least 24 to 48 hours after rain or snowmelt, or holds break off and routes are permanently damaged.
