Mud Spring Approach

This road is often not maintained and may need high clearance. It's easy to park before it and walk the rough distance. Use this approach to get to Mud Spring Canyon, or take the Mountain Springs Peak trail instead.
Access
The 13-mile Scenic Drive requires a timed-entry reservation October to May and has seasonal gate hours. Calico Basin and Kraft Mountain sit outside the Scenic Drive and need no reservation.
