First ascent: Aloysius Leap
Description
Stand start just left of the low start for Southern Drawl using a left hand on a sloping arete of sorts. Work your way up and right, using the left hand sloper feature and some side pulls out right eventually gaining a large hueco. Make a slightly insecure top out above using the hueco and slab.

The SE arete feature just left of Southern Drawl.

Highball. Bad landing.
Access
The 13-mile Scenic Drive requires a timed-entry reservation October to May and has seasonal gate hours. Calico Basin and Kraft Mountain sit outside the Scenic Drive and need no reservation.
Wet rock: Aztec sandstone loses much of its strength when wet. Do not climb for at least 24 to 48 hours after rain or snowmelt, or holds break off and routes are permanently damaged.
