The canyon accessed from taking the trail west of the Kraft parking lot. Some good climbs up here which tend to remain less crowded. Approaches vary from 10-30 minutes.

Access
The 13-mile Scenic Drive requires a timed-entry reservation October to May and has seasonal gate hours. Calico Basin and Kraft Mountain sit outside the Scenic Drive and need no reservation.
