Mt. Charleston climbing
548 routes
The limestone of Kyle Canyon, Lee Canyon and the road between them (Route 158) on Mt. Charleston, an hour from Las Vegas and several thousand feet higher than Red Rock: the summer climbing, when Red Rock is too hot. Mostly bolted sport climbing, with ice in some winters.
Access
Parts of the range are the Mt. Charleston Wilderness, where motorized equipment isn't allowed: no power drills. Dogs must be leashed at trailheads. Campfires are banned year-round within a mile of homes in Kyle and Lee Canyons, and the Forest Service adds seasonal fire restrictions in summer, so check before you go.
