Left (South) Wall has 28 routes, from 5.5 to 5.12b; 20 are harder, and 2 others are the same grade.

First ascent: Danny Rider, Sal Malmusia

Description

This route is a fun warmup and has some good movement in it. There is a small runout between the third and fourth bolts, but the climbing is on easy, albeit questionable rock. Overall, worth doing. This used to share anchors with High Caliber, so it makes for a good way to hang draws on that route. If top roping this climb, be aware of pendulum potential with anchors being far to the left of the start.

Location

On the slabby arete on the far right side of the wall. First route left of the gully that splits the wall. First bolt is high, but easy climbing.

Protection

4 Bolts, open cold shut anchors.

Access

Much of the range is the La Madre Mountain Wilderness, managed jointly by the BLM (Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area) and the Forest Service (Spring Mountains National Recreation Area). In the wilderness, no motorized vehicles or mechanized equipment, and no gluing, chipping or chiseling of the rock.
